At A Simpler Time, we've expanded our selection of solid brass bells over the years to include such favorites as hand bells, ship bells, and even a wide variety of professionally engraved bells.
Our first bell, and probably still our most popular, was our seven-inch diameter polished brass ship bell. Eventually, we increased the sizes offered up to a 50-pound, 15-inch diameter bell suitable for legion halls and even some churches.
Why do people buy a bell? In our home state of Minnesota, many people hang a brass bell outside their lake homes, both for looks and to summon family members who are boating or fishing. Many customers take advantage of our professional, inexpensive engraving by adding their name, their lake, and the date they bought or built their cabin.

We even carry specialized bells, such as fire bells, navy bells, army bells, marine bells, and police bells. These are hand engraved overseas with a hammer and a chisel. The result is a little "cruder" than machine engraving, but results in deeper, more noticeable letters that look great from a few feet away.
Coming soon will be our triple "Big Sale" and "Tip" bells. With the popularity of our Tip bells for restaurants and bars and our Big Sale bells for businesses, we've put together three popular sized brass bells on a wood wall plaque. The bells will be hung in progressively larger sizes and will be engraved with Big Sale or Tips.
